BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday, 1 July 2021 – A flag hoisting ceremony in conjunction with His Majesty’s 75th Birthday celebration began with a giant flag hoisting ceremony in the capital. The raising of the giant national flag was officiated by The Honourable Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr.) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs.
The giant-sized flag was raised by 20 personnel from the Royal Brunei Navy led by Lieutenant Junior Grade Nabilah Sa’adatul Hayat binti Shamsul Hayat in the vicinity of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex.
The ceremony was attended by Major General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces and Services Commanders.
The lowering of the giant national flag will be held at the end of this month.
