MUARA, Monday, 03 May 2021 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held Nuzul Al-Quran ceremony with a special religious lecture at Surau Al- Huda to commemorate the revelation of the Holy Quran. Present as the guest of honour was the Commander of Royal Brunei Navy, First Admiral Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Haji Seruji.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Al- Quran from Surah Fathir verse 31-34 by 53159 Ls Mohammad Asyri bin Abdul Ghapar from the Support Services, RBN, followed by mass Zuhur Prayer led by Imam Faidil Rosemady bin Mohammad.
The special religious lecture was delivered by Dr Ustaz Mikdar Rusdi from Faculty of Usuluddin, Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, as the guest speaker with the topic "Al-Quran Asas dan Pemangkin Pembangunan Negara". The event also saw a presentation of souvenir as a token of appreciation to the guest speaker and a 'selawat' to mark the end of the ceremony.
As we follow the teachings of Al-Quran, it will guide mankind to a better state. He also emphasized the importance of practicing and understanding Al-Quran in our daily life to achieve success in our lives and the hereafter.
