MUARA, Friday, 26 February 2021 –
Sword Presentation Ceremony for RBN's newly commissioned officers of Intake 19 was held at the Royal Brunei Navy Headquarters to mark the conclusion of their 2 weeks' induction program. Present as the Guest of Honour was First Admiral Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Haji Seruji, Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN). Also present at the ceremony were Deputy Commander and Royal Brunei Navy's Board of Executive Officers.
The ceremony commenced with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Ustaz Mas Ismandi bin Haji Hassan, Religious Teacher of the Royal Brunei Navy. The Guest of Honour was then invited to present the sword to the 14 newly commissioned officers consisting of 12 male and 2 female officers. The ceremony was concluded with the recitation of
Doa selamat and interactions with officers over morning coffee.
The inaugural Sword Presentation Ceremony is to honour the newly commissioned officers and marks an important gambit to their career as officers in the Royal Brunei Navy.
