Muara, Wednesday 19 March 2025 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) was invited to an Iftar gathering onboard HMS SPEY, hosted by the ship’s Commanding Officer, Commander Paul Caddy of the Royal Navy, and the British Defence Advisor to Brunei Darussalam, Captain Jonathan Caple of the Royal Navy.
Held in the spirit of friendship and cooperation, the Iftar provided an opportunity to further strengthen the longstanding relationship between the Royal Brunei Navy and the Royal Navy. The Guest of Honour for the evening was Captain Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, RBN, Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy. Also in attendance were RBN officers who are alumni of UK-based military courses, further emphasizing the deep professional ties between the two naval forces.
The evening commenced with the ceremonial sunset at 1831H, followed by the breaking of fast with a meal thoughtfully prepared by HMS SPEY personnel.
