ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY CELEBRATES NEW ISLAMIC YEAR 1444 HIJRAH

MUARA, Friday, 29 July 2022 - The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) celebrated the beginning of a new Hijrah Year 1444 to spread the eminence of Islam among the Muslim community to reminisce the emigration of the Prophet Mohammad Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam from Mecca Al Mukarramah to Medina Al Munawarrah. The ceremony was held at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base.

The ceremony began with the recitation of the end of the year 1443 Hijrah prayer followed by a mass Maghrib prayer and recitation of the new Islamic year 1444 Hijrah prayer which led by Awg Faidil Rosemady Bin Mohamad, Imam of Surau Al-Huda, Royal Brunei Navy.

In attendance was Commander Malai Haszahrin bin Malai Yussof, Commanding Officer Base, Royal Brunei Navy. Also present were Royal Brunei Navy senior officers, officers and other ranks.

The ceremony followed with Solat Sunat Hajat, recitation of Doa Hajat, recitation of surah Yassin and Doa. The ceremony concluded with mass Isyak prayer.

Similar ceremonies also simultaneously held in all surau in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Camps.
