UARA, Wednesday, 22 June 2022 – Colonel Peter Davis Hall, Defence Adviser of New Zealand Accredited to Brunei Darussalam conducted a courtesy call to Commander RBN, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Seruji.
During the call, Commander RBN took the opportunity to express gratitude and appreciation to Colonel Peter Davis Hall for the interest in reinvigorating bilateral relations between the RBAF and the New Zealand Defence Force in general. Commander RBN also expressed hopes of exploring more avenues to build bilateral relations between the RBN and the Royal New Zealand Navy recalling the previous experience of co-chairing the ADMM Plus Expert Working Group on Maritime Security in 2016, mutual participation in major naval exercises such as in RIMPAC 2020 which both KDB DARULEHSAN from RBN and HMNZS MANAWANUI from RNZN participated and extensive engagement through courses and training.
Both sides conveyed delights and affirmed commitments towards reinvigorating collaboration and defence cooperation as keys to enhancing interoperability in striving towards a peaceful and stable region.
