MUARA, Wednesday 16 June 2021 - Royal Brunei Armed Force (RBAF) Football Championship for the year 2021 was held for two weeks from started on Tuesday, 01 June 2021 to Wednesday, 09 June 2021. RBAirF had won the RBAF Football Championship League Cup after finishing at first position in league, with Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), and Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) took second and third place. Also joined the championship were football team from Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), and the Training Institute (TI RBAF).
By claiming the top two position in the league, RBAirF and RBLF proceed the final stage for RBAF Football Championship.
RBLF had won the RBAF Football Champions Cup after beating RBAirf by winning penalty shoots of 5-3, after both teams came to a draw of 1-1 at final whistle. Meanwhile the Best Player Awards goes to Corporal Ak Md Hairman bin Pg Hj Mohid, goalkeeper for RBLF, and the Most Goal Awards went to Able Rate Mohd Safarudin bin Azami, RBN, striker for RBN.
Present as the guest of honor was Major General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, the Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
The RBAF Football Championship was hope to strengthen ties between RBAF personnel and to instil sportsmanship among the football players.
