ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY HOLD KHATAM AL-QURAN CEREMONY

MUARA, Tuesday, 11 May 2021 – In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan 1442H, Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony to mark the completion of 'Tedarus' in the holy month of Ramadan. The ceremony was held this morning at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base.

Present as the Guest of Honour was First Admiral Spry Bin Haji Serudi @ Haji Seruji, Commander of RBN. Also present were senior officers, officers and personnel of RBN.

The ceremony marked the completion of recitation of Al-Quran amongst the officers and personnel of RBN throughout the holy month of Ramadan. The ceremony was also held to encourage and cultivate a practice of reading Al-Quran among the Muslims within the organisation.

The event commenced after performing the mass Zohor prayer, began with recitation of selected 'Surahs' from the Al-Quran, followed by Takhtim Al-Quran, Tahlil, Doa Khatam, Dzikir Marhaban and the ceremony end with 'Doa Peliharakan Sultan Dan Negara Brunei Darussalam' led by Imam Surau Al-Huda.
